Boxed beef is beef that's been broken down into smaller cuts, vacuum-sealed,
then packaged in boxes for shipping. This method is used to efficiently
transport and distribute beef.
Original Carter Cattle has an "absolute no return policy" on boxed beef. That
means that once the beef has been shipped and received by the customer, it cannot be
returned for any reason. This policy is in place due to the perishable nature of the
product and the strict regulations surrounding food safety.
Shipping services are limited to the Western states of the United States. This includes the following states: Utah, Washington, Oregon, California, Idaho, Nevada, Arizona, Montana, Wyoming, Colorado, and New Mexico.
We suggest using a cold water thawing. Place the beef in a leak-proof plastic
bag, submerge the bag in cold tap water, changing the water every 30 minutes. Once
thawed cook immediately or for steak and roasts cover with a light dusting of salt and
place in refrigerator for approximately 48 hours.
Original Carter Cattle only ships on Monday and Wednesday’s. If you place an
order by 12pm Mountain Standard time on Monday or Wednesday your order will be
shipped out same day.
